Kemrel W

KemRel W is a homogeneous, water-based emulsion containing a fine dispersion of petroleum wax with release properties superior to those of conventional mould oils. KemRel W is supplied as a white-colored liquid, ready for direct application. The alkali-reactive chemicals promote a water-repellent interface that protects both steel and timber formwork while ensuring an even color and texture in the cast concrete. In addition to preventing adhesion of the cement matrix to the formwork, KemRel W allows trapped air to escape. This air-release property minimizes surface blemishes and substantially reduces remedial costs.
